Days of Advent Sampler

Finally, this is my Days of Advent sampler. This needlework project did not sit under my desk for ten years. The only struggle I had with it was how to do it. Should it be one sampler, or a sampler book? As I thought about it, I concluded that there could be many ways these designs would work. This is Margaret Chess’s Days of Advent sampler. While she was working on it she would send pictures along until… ta da! Here is the finished piece. I like the fact that she added the extra square to say that it was her work, the date, and where she lived. I also love the embellishments she created for this personal square. I love seeing it as one piece. I chose to do mine as a book. This is my Noah page.
