The Lord Remembered Hannah
"For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has given me my petition which I asked of Him." I Samuel 1.27
Mary has designed "The Lord Remembered Hannah" to portray in needlework the story of Hannah and her desire to have a child. Each panel illustrates a different part of the story. There are seven panels in all. This project is styled after the 17th century needlework caskets that often depicted various biblical stories. Also included are other designs reminiscent of the 17th century that can be used as accessories or in other ways.
